Are you looking for a way to obtain a Green Card and live permanently in the United States? Depending on your situation, you may have different options to achieve your goal. At Pelud Immigration, we can help you navigate the complex immigration process and find the best solution for your case. Here are some of the most common ways to apply for a Green Card based on your employment or family ties:

Employment Based Options

01

EB-1A Extraordinary Individuals

If you have achieved outstanding success in your field which may be science, art, education, business, or athletics, you may qualify for this category. You must have received national or international acclaim and demonstrate that you will continue to excel in your field. This petition requires quite a bit of documentation and effort but does not require a U.S. employer sponsor. You may self-petition so you're not tied to an employer throughout the Green Card processing.

03

EB-1C for Multinational Managers and Executives

If you have worked for a foreign company that has a U.S. affiliate, subsidiary, or parent, you may qualify for this category. You must have worked for the foreign company for at least one year in the last three years and be offered a position in the U.S. company that is executive or managerial in nature or that requires specialized knowledge to perform.

05

PERM Labor Certification

This is often the first step for many employment-based Green Card applicants. Your U.S. employer must obtain a labor certification from the U.S. Department of Labor on your behalf. The certification confirms that there are not enough qualified U.S. workers to fill the position and that hiring you will not harm the wages and working conditions of U.S. workers.

02

EB-1B for outstanding scholars, researchers, and professors:

If you have made significant contributions to your academic field and received international recognition for your work, you may qualify for this category. You must have at least three years of experience in teaching or research and be seeking a tenure-track position.

04

EB2 National Interest Waiver:

If you have an advanced degree or exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business, and you are working on a project that has substantial merit and national importance, you may qualify for this category. You must show that your work benefits the U.S. and that waiving the labor certification requirement is in the national interest. You may self-petition for this category.
